VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA- (November 5, 2007)- StemSoft Software is pleased to announce the future release of BMTbase™ version 4.0. Completely redesigned from the ground up using .NET technology, version 4.0 will be a browser-based application allowing for easier user access, deployment and more robust database management and security.

BMTbase™ version 4.0 will align with the new reporting requirements of the Stem Cell Therapeutics Outcomes Database (SCTOD) managed by the CIBMTR. It will be integrated with the NMDP’s upcoming web-based data entry application, FormsNet 2.0, which will provide you with real-time form management and validation for the Harmonized TED and Detailed Report Forms.

BMTbase™ users subscribing to the StemSoft Annual Maintenance & Support Plan will receive this upgrade for the NMDP’s phased FormsNet 2.0 rollout which is scheduled to commence in the Winter of 2007.

BMTbase™ version 4.0 will provide the following new enhancements and additional functionality:

• Browser-Based Intranet Access (via internal institutional web server)
• Updated and User-Friendly Analytics Reporting of the New Harmonized
• NMDP/CIBMTR Forms via Integration with the NMDP’s FormsNet 2.0 Project
• More Robust Database Management and Security

This shift to a web-based system will require that all current BMTbase users have a web / application server and a database server. You may already have this hardware available at your institution, but this needs to be discussed with your IT department.
