STEMSOFT’s Update on COVID-19

By March 24, 2020December 12th, 2022News

Our goal at STEMSOFT has always been to help you treat patients. While the ongoing pandemic introduces new challenges, we remain committed to that goal. To that end we have taken the following steps to lessen the risk of spreading COVID-19 and to support the health and safety of your patients, our team, and our community.

  • As of March 9th, all STEMSOFT development, customer success, implementation, support, and sales team members are working from home full time until further notice.
  • All of our face-to-face meetings, whether here in Vancouver or abroad, are either cancelled or moved online. No STEMSOFT team member may travel until further notice.
  • We have set up a system to track the health of our team members and at time of writing have no affected employees.
  • Access to PHI and other private information remains restricted and is subject to the same controls and is resident in the same data center.
  • We maintain a daily tempo of education for our team.

I’m very pleased that our previous business continuity plans paid off as we were able to move almost all employees offsite within hours and have had minimal impacts on our ability to support you. We have identified that there is some risk that our call center could be affected and so we urge you to report any issues to support@stemsoft.com instead of phoning. Our team are able to triage that email account from home. All other support, training, implementation, and deployment work are continuing as usual using WebEx, Sharefile, and email. As the majority of our customer-facing work has been conducted using these tools for years we expect no change to the service you receive.

Our product development team report minimal changes to their workflow and so we expect no change to our spring or summer release schedule.

We were disappointed to delay or cancel our users’ group meetings and we will reschedule them as soon as we can. We know that face-to-face meetings foster understanding and community and I look forward to meeting with you all again.

We’ve taken these steps to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and support the health of our colleagues, our community, our customers, and the patients you treat.
